Explore the Fundamentals of Drug Discovery, Research and Development, and Manufacturing

In this full-time, four-year program at our Boston campus, you work alongside experts in our advanced laboratories to gain a comprehensive education and hands-on experience in biological and pharmaceutical science. Upon graduation, you are equipped to begin your career or continue your education in one of our advanced degree programs in pharmacy, biotechnology, healthcare policy, or regulatory affairs.

Your Four-Year Journey

Our broad-based curriculum in basic biological and pharmaceutical sciences prepares you for important roles in discovering and developing new medications that save and improve lives. This program is STEM-designated, qualifying international students for an additional two years of OPT work in the United States.

First-Year Experience

  • build a strong foundation in chemical principles and cell and molecular biology
  • learn the essentials of calculus and expository writing
  • explore patient and healthcare communities through the study of American culture, public life, and human psychology

Second-Year Experience

  • study and conduct lab work in medical microbiology, organic chemistry, and physics
  • explore the data and business sides of the industry through classes in statistics and macroeconomics
  • begin to incorporate a variety of electives in the liberal arts and sciences

Third-Year Experience

  • build a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry
  • broaden your industry knowledge through the study of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical analysis
  • continue your exploration of the liberal arts and sciences

Fourth-Year Experience

  • develop foundational knowledge in healthcare ethics
  • deepen your knowledge of pharmaceutical technology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology
  • study molecular biology and the properties of drug molecules
  • explore the realm of regulatory affairs
  • participate in an advanced pharmaceutics seminar
