MCPHS Graduate Application

Use this application to apply to all graduate programs with the exception of Doctor of Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, and Optometry.

PharmCAS—Doctor of Pharmacy

Use this application if you are applying to the Direct Entry or Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program. If you are applying to the Non-Traditional Doctor of Pharmacy please use the MCPHS Graduate Application.

OTCAS — MS In Occupational Therapy

Use this application if you are applying to the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program.

PTCAS—Doctor of Physical Therapy

Use this application if you are applying to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

CASPA—Master of Physician Assistant Studies

Use this application if you are applying to the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program.

OptomCAS—Doctor of Optometry

Use this application if you are applying to the Doctor of Optometry program.

To review individual program prerequisites, please visit the program page for the program to which you are applying.

All applicants must submit the following credentials along with their completed applications:

  • Official transcripts from each college or university attended.
  • Official AP or CLEP scores, if applicable (scores of 4 or 5 or CLEP scores of 50 or higher must be obtained).
  • Proof of English language proficiency. Language proficiency may be submitted with a score report from TOEFL, IELTS, or iTEP or by taking the MCPHS on-campus language proficiency test. Find more detailed information on the International Admission page
  • Official transcripts from non-U.S. secondary schools, colleges, or universities must also be sent to World Education Services or Educational Credential Evaluators for a course-by-course evaluation.

The following programs require at least one letter of recommendation. Some programs require additional letters of recommendation; see the program page for more details.

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) – Worcester
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) – Worcester
  • Master of Science in Nursing (FNP/PMHNP) – Online
  • Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (FNP/PMHNP) – Online
  • Doctor of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) – Online

The following programs also require the submission of official GRE scores:

  • Pharmacology MS/PhD – Boston/Worcester
  • Pharmaceutics MS/PhD – Boston/Worcester
  • Medicinal Chemistry MS/PhD – Boston
  • Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy PhD – Boston

The Doctor of Optometry (OD) program requires submission of an official score report from either GRE or OAT.

Final transcripts should be mailed directly from your college/university or testing agency in a sealed, signed envelope to the Admission Office of your program's campus. These documents may also be submitted to MCPHS via email or fax.

After an initial review of your application, additional items that are program or student-specific may be required, and students will be notified in their student application portal.

We prioritize the review and admission of applications submitted earlier in our rolling admission process, so it is to your advantage to submit your application as soon as possible.

All applicants are automatically considered for scholarship with their application. The sooner you submit your application, the more favorably you will be considered both for admission and scholarship.

Physician Assistant Studies:

September 1: Boston Fall start application deadline.

January 15: Worcester/Manchester, NH Spring start application deadline.

Boston Doctor of Pharmacy (Direct-entry PharmD):

June 1: Application deadline for Fall applicants.

Worcester/Manchester Doctor of Pharmacy (accelerated PharmD):

June 1: Application deadline for fall applicants.

Occupational Therapy:

March 1: Fall start application deadline.

Physical Therapy:

April 1: Fall start application deadline.

Acupuncture:

Continuing to accept applications on a space-available basis.

Optometry:

May 27: Fall start application deadline.

All other graduate programs:

December 1: Spring start application deadline.
April 1: Summer start application deadline.
August 1: Fall start application deadline.
