Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)

Professor Robert graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Social Science and began an Army career in the medical field as an Army enlisted medic. He eventually became a medical platoon sergeant while participating in the invasion of Kuwait during the Desert Storm in 1991.  After returning to the United States from the Gulf, he attended PA school at the Army’s predecessor of the Interservice Physician Assistant Program in San Antonio, Texas.  Professor Robert was then stationed in Wurzburg, Germany as a field PA in 1996 and completed his MPAS with the University of Nebraska during this time. He served as the Deputy Division Surgeon with the First Infantry Division in Wurzburg, Germany from 2001-2005. In 2006, Professor Robert completed his MPH at the University of Oklahoma 2006 and became the Chief of Occupational Health at the Center for Health Promotion in Landstuhl, Germany shortly after receiving his degree. In 2007, he served a 15 month tour in Iraq at Forward Operating Base Ramadi and at various combat outposts Anbar Provence, where he conducted both trauma and general medicine. From 2009 until 2012, Professor Robert was the Deputy Command Inspector General of the Europe Regional Medical Command in Landstuhl, Germany with responsibilities in Army clinics in Germany, Belgium, and Italy. After retiring from the Army, Professor Robert joined the Manchester MCPHS campus in September 2012.
