Program Highlights
- For technologists who wish to gain the competitive edge with additional expertise; applicants must hold current ARRT/NMTCP certification in the appropriate discipline as well as current CPR certification and have completed CT Imaging and Cross Sectional Anatomy with a grade of 'C' or higher
- Summer semester start
- 24-week program (32 hours/week, 4 days/week from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Program Details
Computed Tomography (CT) is a complex imaging technique that can display
human anatomy at different levels within the body. During CT imaging, the x-ray
source rotates around the patient, and each rotation produces a single
cross-sectional "slice," like the slices in a loaf of bread. CT allows
physicians to see a horizontal piece of the body, just as if you were taking a
slice of bread out of a loaf.
The advanced certificate in Computed Tomography (CT) is
designed for technologists seeking advanced certification in medical
imaging modalities and is offered by the School of Medical Imaging and
Therapeutics at MCPHS University. The certificate program provides both classroom and
clinical education in Computed Tomography. Students who want to find their own clinical rotation site may do so, but will not be awarded the Advanced Certificate upon completion or the courses and practicum.
