BS in Dental Hygiene, 33-month Accelerated

The accelerated bachelor of science in dental hygiene curriculum is designed for entering freshmen who seek a scientifically oriented program that combines academic and clinical experiences. Students complete the program in 33 months and are eligible to site for the licensing exams in the third year.
The accelerated program includes:- Core classes in dental hygiene theory, practice and pain management
- Clinical experience in the state-of-the-art Esther M. Wilkins Dental Hygiene Clinic
- Independent study in advanced dental hygiene theory and practice
- Additional professional internship learning experience
- Service learning enrichment opportunities in the community
- Electives in an area of special interest
- Courses in general education and the basic sciences
Program instruction is conducted in our new facilities at the MCPHS Boston campus which offer students excellent clinical experiences. These include interaction with patients in the new Esther M. Wilkins Forsyth Dental Hygiene Clinic on campus which has 28 operatories; digital radiologic imaging technology; intraoral cameras; state-of-the-art, ergonomic patient and operator chairs; digital panoramic technology; and computerized chairside charting.
