Health Psychology
The role of behavioral factors in illness and its treatment has become one of the most interesting and fast-developing topics in the arena of health care. In response to this, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has developed a bachelor of science program in health psychology, one of only a few such programs in the nation.
The program provides students with the best possible foundation for a wide range of careers in psychology. Graduates are also prepared to pursue advanced education in related areas that would lead to career options in such fields as public health, counseling, social work in a health care setting, medicine, recreational or occupational therapy, and program administration.
Students interested in pursuing health psychology or mental health careers that require a masters or doctoral degree are encouraged to continue their education in clinical and counseling graduate programs.
Health Psychology Programs:
- Full-time, four-year baccalaureate degree
- Classes at the Boston campus
- Students are placed in psychology internships tailored to interests and professional goals
