Medical Education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, St. Kitts
Founded in 1982, Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine was established to make it possible for qualified students to realize their dream of becoming a veterinarian. Today, qualified and dedicated students are being turned away by the thousands, simply because there are not enough seats in U.S. veterinary schools. Located on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, Ross University will provide students with the education they need to earn their DVM degree. Ross offers an accelerated U.S. based, trimester curriculum in which students study year round. Students can begin their veterinarian studies in the September, January or May semester. Students complete the first 7 semesters of study in St. Kitts, taking pre-clinical courses modeled on those taught in U.S. schools. After St. Kitts, students move into one of the 23 out of 28 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited veterinarian schools affiliated with Ross University. It is here, at one of these AVMA accredited schools located throughout the U.S., that students complete their last 3 semesters of study. Graduates of Ross can be licensed in all 50 states and become leaders in their fields as practitioners, teachers and researchers.
Accreditation
Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is currently seeking accreditation by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
