Two, two-year post-doctoral fellowship programs are offered in Drug Information/Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.
Drug Information/ Medical Affairs Fellowship

The fellow will personify the clinical, scientific, and technical face for Cubist to both external customers and internal colleagues. The fellow will become an integral member of the Drug Information team, which consists of a number of highly qualified and well-trained healthcare professionals, including pharmacists and nurses, who utilize their clinical expertise daily in order to fulfill the mission of providing accurate, balanced, and timely information about Cubist products and their role in the practice of medicine.
During the second year of the fellowship, the fellow will gain a broader experience in Medical Affairs under the supervision and mentorship of senior Medical Affairs staff. Activities within Medical Affairs will be selected based on the fellow’s experience and interests, as well as current needs of the company. Opportunities may include participation in clinical research, support of sales and marketing functions, review of promotional materials, competitive intelligence, and acting as a scientific liaison with researchers and opinion leaders in infectious diseases.
Clinical Development Fellowship
During the first year of the fellowship, the fellow will gain exposure to various areas and departments within the pharmaceutical industry, with a primary focus in Clinical Research. Clinical Research is directed towards the development of new products and innovative research with existing products; accomplished through the implementation and conduct of domestic and global clinical trials. The fellow will act as a scientific liaison with researchers and study teams, to contribute to clinical studies from the planning and approval stages, through study completion and post-study closure. This clinical perspective is crucial to data interpretation, and directly contributes to the methodology for design and execution of clinical protocols and final reports.
The second year of the fellowship provides the fellow with the opportunity to expand their Clinical Development expertise, within the larger pharmaceutical industry setting. Second year activities will be selected based on the fellow’s experience and interests, as well as current needs of the company.
