Language Proficiency Requirements
All applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate proficiency with ONE of the exam scores below. The exam may be waived for applicants who have attended all four years of high school in the United States (excluding ESL courses), who have earned a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university (excluding ESL courses), or who have achieved a certain level of English proficiency at one of the English schools in Boston and around the United States, which we collaborate with.

*Only scores from tests taken within two years prior to the time of enrollment are acceptable. Official scores must be sent from the testing agency. Certified true copies may be submitted for initial review.

MCPHS University offers a unique pathway to your academic program through our Bridge Program. This program allows you to begin your academic program while taking intensive English classes that complement and contribute to success in your degree program.
MCPHS University may offer you conditional admission if you are an international student who requires English language instruction before you can begin your studies at the university level. If you are conditionally admitted, you will be able to gain full admission by achieving certain levels at one of our English schools in Boston and around the United States.
