First Year Conditional Applicants
Students whose native language is not English, and have not taken either the SAT, TOEFL or IELTS test can be conditionally admitted on the strength of their academic record. It may be the case that MCPHS feels the student would benefit from an English Language program even with TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Students who are studying at another English language school in the U.S. may also be considered for conditional admission and may contact the Admission Office at 617.879.5964 or e-mail admissions@mcphs.edu for information.
Transfer and Postbaccalaureate Applicants
Candidates for whom English is not their primary language are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS. This requirement may be waived for applicants who have attended all four years of high school in the United States (excluding ESL courses) or who have earned a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university (excluding ESL courses).
