Superb Learning Environment

Matricaria Academic and Student Center

The centerpiece of MCPHS–Boston’s urban campus is the state-of-the-art Matricaria Academic and Student Center, which has a building-wide wireless network, high-tech classrooms and laboratories, four floors of apartment-style residences for 230 students, and the DeBenedictis library, with print & electronic journals and public computers.

George Robert White Building

The White Building houses administrative and faculty offices, classrooms, and lecture halls. Several research and teaching laboratories are also housed in the building, including labs for biology/microbiology, cell culture, biology research, physiology research, pharmacology research, behavioral and neuro-pharmacology, chemistry, physics and nuclear medicine.

John Richard Fennell Building and Theodore L. Iorio Research Center

This eight-story mixed-use facility offers classrooms, conference rooms, research labs, science teaching labs, a student lounge and coffee shop, and a residence hall.

The Richard E. Griffin Academic Center - to open in 2009!

Construction of a new facility on Huntington Avenue is well underway. Opening in early 2009, the Richard E. Griffin Academic Center will house the College’s School of Nursing and School of Physician Assistant Studies. The six-story building will contain 49,700 square feet of classrooms, faculty and staff offices, teaching laboratories, a technology center, a 230 seat auditorium and a multi-function room on the top floor.

Smart Classrooms

Smart classrooms have audio, visual, and computer and web technologies that enhance learning. Four deluxe laboratories for chemistry, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutics and institutional pharmacy help reinforce what you learn in the classroom.

Esther M. Wilkins Forsyth Dental Hygiene Clinic

The Dental Hygiene Clinic includes 28 operatories, each with a modern dental chair, computer, and highly specialized software, and a 12-station dental materials laboratory.

Patient Assessment Labs

For nursing and physician assistant studies programs, the patient-assessment laboratory has 10 exam bays, each with a multiposition examination table and integrated diagnostic system.

Skills Technology Lab

The skills-technology lab emulates a hospital ward with six general beds, pediatric crib and two-bed intensive care unit, all with medical-quality air, vacuum and oxygen. A life-size computerized mannequin with anatomically accurate respiratory and cardiac functions can be programmed to simulate various pathologies.

Radiologic Sciences Suite

MCPHS–Boston is one of few colleges with an on-site radiologic sciences suite with an x-ray machine and a digital radiography system that reads and processes x-ray images.

The Atrium adjoins the White Building and is used for group study and social events.

Crossroads Cafe and Student Lounge

The Crossroads Cafe and Student Lounge are the hub of student life on the MCPHS-Boston campus. There, members of the community can meet, grab a bite, study, and socialize in a welcoming and supportive environment.
