Identification
All community members are issued an I.D. card free of charge upon matriculation in the college. (The card also serves as the student’s library card.) Safety is a priority at MCPHS, community members are expected to wear their college I.D. at all times when on campus and to show such upon request of a properly identified official or member of the MCPHS staff. The I.D. system is designed to assure that only students, staff, and faculty have access to the college; all visitors, including parents and guardians, must register at a Public Safety Desk and be escorted in by an MCPHS community member. No one is admitted into the college without an I.D. All other entrances into the college are locked and inaccessible without valid and active identification.
Loss of the card should be reported immediately to the Department of Public Safety. Found ID's will be kept at the Public Safety Desk in the lobby of the Fennell building. The fee to replace an I.D. card, for any reason, is $10; application and payment for replacement is made at the Office of the Registrar.
Escorts
Escorts are available to walk with MCPHS community members to parking lots and nearby residence hall. Go to the Public Safety Desk in the lobby of the Fennell building and advise an officer that you would like an escort.
Lost and Found Policy
All lost and found items should be reported immediately to the Department of Public Safety. If an item is found, please bring it to the Public Safety Desk. Upon request, a Public Safety officer will pick it up and bring it to the Public Safety Desk. If an item is lost, please contact Public Safety as soon as possible to report the lost item. A log will be kept for lost and found items, including the name of the person, a brief description of item, the location where item was lost or found, and the telephone number of the individual making the report. Depending on the item, a notice maybe posted on the College's information monitors. All lost items not claimed within 30 days may be claimed by the finder.
