Facilities on the Manchester Campus

MCPHS-Manchester is housed in a 33,000 square-foot three-story building consisting of classrooms, patient assessment laboratory, professional pharmacy practice laboratory, computer laboratory with electronic linkages to other campuses, library/learning resource space, state-of-the-art video conference classrooms linked to the Worcester campus, student lounge, seminar rooms, and faculty and staff offices.

  • A multi-function patient assessment laboratory, serving courses such as physical assessment, anatomy, and clinical medicine, which houses twelve patient assessment stations, medical equipment, and anatomical models and specimen
  • A professional pharmacy practice/pharmaceutics laboratory which simulates a working pharmacy to introduce students to pharmacy operations and the role of a pharmacist.

MCPHS Library Services

The Manchester library contains a core collection of reference books in pharmacy, nursing, and medicine. All electronic resources from Boston’s MCPHS Henrietta DeBenedictis Library are available remotely. Interlibrary loan and document delivery are available from Boston’s collection as well as from many New England medical libraries. Reference assistance and library instruction are provided by an onsite professional librarian.

Cutting-edge Technology

A state-of-the-art computer lab equipped with LCD projection, web access and direct linkage to the Boston campus. The lab is used for web-based teaching and learning and also serves as a resource lab for students to access library resources and the Internet.

Student Life

The student lounge serves as the gathering place for students to study, converse, meet, share a meal, relax and hold celebrations, and includes lockers and a small kitchen area.
