Safety & Security
Mission
The mission of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Public Safety Department is to enhance the quality of life for the entire MCPHS community by maintaining a secure and open environment where the safety of all is balanced with the rights of the individual. The Campus Safety Department strives to accomplish its mission while adhering to its core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Service. The success of this mission depends upon an effective working relationship between Public Safety personnel and the diverse elements of the MCPHS community, including students, staff, faculty and visitors.
Critical to this relationship is mutual respect. Therefore, we pledge to respect the diverse needs and interests of the community we serve. We pledge to be diligent and relentless in the protection of persons, property and the reputation of MCPHS. Although reported crime at MCPHS is low, it is important for students, faculty, staff and visitors to remember that we are located in an urban setting and share many of the safety issues that exist in any city. Preserving the safety and security of the College is the combined responsibility of the entire community.
We ask that our partners in the community assume their individual and collective responsibilities to make MCPHS a place that is free of crime, fear and disorder, and to provide a civil and open environment that fosters learning and mutual respect.
