Student Government Association (SGA)

The Manchester Student Government Association serves to provide a voice for students and related student interests. All MCPHS-Manchester students are welcome to attend any and all bi-weekly meetings. There are also elected positions (annual elections) that provide opportunity for each discipline to be heard. SGA serves as the “umbrella” organization from which all other student organizations stem. The SGA is responsible for appropriating funds for the organizations and their activities. It also sponsors an annual leadership recognition event, a semi-formal and many other social activities. As important is the role that the SGA plays in providing the student voice on policy issues and new projects. The executive officers of the SGA are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and liaisons.

American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Students of Pharmacy (APhA-ASP)

The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Students of Pharmacy (APhA-ASP) is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, and to envision and actively promote the future of pharmacy. The APhA-ASP represents over 19,000 student members in chapters at every school and college of pharmacy throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

Manchester Student Society of Health System Pharmacy (ASHP)

The mission of the MCPHS-Manchester student society is to make students aware of pharmacy practice in health systems, provide information to students about career directions in and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health systems, and encourage membership and participation in the state society and ASHP as a student and upon graduation.

Campus Connections

Campus Connections enhances student life by providing social activities on a regular basis. Past events include apple picking, a day at the amusement park, a harbor cruise and midnight bowling. Membership is open to anyone with an idea!

Golf Club

The purpose of the Golf Club is to promote health, relaxation, networking, and valuable activities among professionals. The College provides a free golf membership (in season) and all are encouraged.

National Student Nurses Association (NSNA)

This chapter’s purpose is to promote development of skills that students will need as responsible and accountable nursing professionals. This association helps develop students who are prepared to lead in the nursing profession in the future.

Nursing Students Without Borders (NSWB)

The purpose of this group is to empower underserved communities through health education. The group works to help create networks to health care resources for the distribution of material donations. The group also serves to expand the perspective of the emerging nursing professional.

Outing Club

The Outing Club was established to provide students with activities that get them outside and active. Whether you are an avid outdoors person or just an occasional hiker, this is the club for you. Planned events include hiking, skiing, canoeing and bowling. Skill level is not important as there is something for everyone!

Phi Lambda Sigma

The purpose of Phi Lamda Sigma, also known as the National Pharmacy Leadership Society, is to promote the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students. By peer recognition, the society encourages participation in all pharmacy activities.

Rho Chi Honor Society

Rho Chi is the academic National Honor Society in Pharmacy. The Rho Chi Society encourages and recognizes excellence in intellectual achievement and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of pharmacy. The Society further encourages high standards of conduct and character and fosters fellowship among its members. The fundamental objective of Rho Chi is to promote the advancement of the pharmaceutical sciences through the encouragement and recognition of scholarship.

Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA)

his club provides the professional networking and educational opportunities for Physician Assistant students. The organization promotes service to others and a high standard of care.
