Emergency Information for Parents
MCPHS is committed to providing a safe campus environment for all members of our community and have prepared to handle unforeseen emergencies on all campuses.
- This Emergency website has been developed as a tool to communicate quickly and effectively during a crisis situation. It will be updated as regularly as possible in the event of an emergency.
- MCPHS has created a college-wide Emergency Reponse Plan and Campus Emergency Action Plans for Boston, Worcester and Manchester. All students are provided with these plans, which are accessible to parents on this website. Students are asked to be familiar with these plans.
- The College has in place an Emergency Response Team comprised of administrators, faculty and staff who have been trained to facilitate calm, quick and effective responses during crisis situations. Students are asked to follow the directions of these personnel in the event of an emergency.
- Safety Training and Information Sessions are held for all students at orientation; Emergency drills are also held on each campus periodically throughout the year.
- MCPHS encourages all students to register their cell phone number or e-mail address in the E-Alert Emergency Notification System database. By doing so, they are assured prompt notification via text or e-mail in the event of an emergency at the College. Please prompt your child to sign up if he or she has not done so already.
- You may also want to help your child prepare a personal disaster kit, that he or she can keep readily accessible, with food, water, portable radio, extra clothing, prescription medicines, and other essentials.
