Medical Images
images.MD is a database of over 50,000 high-quality medical images spanning the entire spectrum of internal medicine, all derived from Current Medicine’s renowned series of illustrated atlases. Each image is accompanied by detailed and informative text written by over 2,000 contributing experts. Images include:
- Photographs
- Radiographs
- Tables
- Original artworks
- Graphs
- Commentary
To find the image you want:
- Browse the image database by specialty or collection (eg.; fungal infections, AIDS, diabetes, pediatrics)
- Search by keyword
- Search by image type (eg.; table, diagram, photograph)
Copyright information:
- You have unlimited personal use while you are a student at or employed by MCPHS. This covers any "non-commercial" use, like lectures, presentations, research, etc.
- You cannot publish the images, in print or online, without acquiring standard permissions through images.MD.
- Exception: You may use for teaching purposes on a password-protected web site (Blackboard), or printed handouts in a lecture or presentation.
How to access:
- This database is accessible On-Campus only (Boston, Worcester, and Manchester) by MCPHS students, faculty, and staff with a valid network ID and password.
- Go to: images.MD
