Q: What is Embase.com (content)?
A: A database which includes EMBASE and unique MEDLINE records. The unique MEDLINE records are found by deduplicating EMBASE and MEDLINE.

Q: What is EMBASE?
A: EMBASE is a comprehensive and international bibliographic database renowned for its extensive coverage of the drug and biomedical literature.

Q: Can I search EMBASE.com using MeSH terms?
A: Yes, All MeSH terms are included in EMTREE (some of them are of course synonymous to EMTREE preferred terms). You can therefore use easier map searches using any MeSH terms; and retrieve both EMBASE and unique MEDLINE records.

Q: What is EMTREE?
A: EMTREE: The Life Science Thesaurus, is one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated biomedical and drug thesauri available today. EMTREE currently contains more than 50,000 drug, biomedical and biological terms (preferred terms), and more than 210,000 synonyms. It incorporates MeSH terms used by the National Library of Medicine, as well as almost 20,000 CAS registry numbers assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service. Each year many hundreds of new terms are added.
