Manchester Campus Elects New SGA Executive Board
The Manchester campus recently held its annual Student Government Association (SGA) elections and installed a new panel executive board members. Continuing to serve as president is Megan Bell, a second year Pharmacy student who will transition out August 1. New members sworn in last week include Treena McPherson (president-elect), Nit Soydara (vice president), Mandy Harvey (treasurer), Dennis Wood (secretary), Nabila Newaz (PharmD liaison), Megan McMahon (PA liaison), and Scott Arrington (Nursing liaison). Elections were held online over the course of two days and resulted in a 40% participation rate. Representation by all three Manchester academic programs will ensure a diverse, formal channel for student voices. Short-term goals include a continued expansion of the very successful recycling program, an examination of additional study space on campus, collaboration with Worcester SGA on the Leadership Summit, and the ever popular annual Field Day competition. Manchester faculty, staff and students wish to thank outgoing members Jenn Kinney, Eric Holmes, Brian Hackett, Kendra Decelle and Hillary Donahue for their outstanding service to the College.
