Nancy Kiehl RDH MS Forsyth '85 Featured in Dimensions of Dental Hygiene
Nancy Kiehl RDH MS Forsyth '85, was one of the dental hygienists featured in Dimensions of Dental Hygiene
December 2010 issue as one of Six Dental Hygienists You Want To Know
. The article focused on the dynamic opportunities available within the dental hygiene profession.
Nancy graduated from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in 1985 and then continued her education at the University of Southern California, earning a BSDH in 1989 and an MEd in 1997. She taught at Lorain County Community College in Elyria Ohio, Case Western Reserve in Cleveland and at USC. While very active as a dental hygiene educator, Nancy still remained in clinical practice at least one day a week and currently works full time in a clinical periodontal practice. Nancy is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and testified before the State of Ohio Senate Health Committee in support of legislation to allow dental hygienists to provide local anesthesia.
Nancy lives in Wakeman, Ohio, and has two children, Carey and Emma. While a very talented educator and clinician, Nancy also has a very interesting hobby. She writes comedy and would love to do a stand-up comedy routine at an ADHA annual meeting! Perhaps we can convince Nancy to share her talents at one of our alumni events!
