MCPHS Nursing Students Witness the Legislative Process Firsthand
1/1/2012
On Wednesday, January 25, several dozen MCPHS-Worcester Nursing students attended the Safe Staffing Bill hearing at the Massachusetts State House. Clad in their MCPHS scrubs and white coats, the students were there to represent the voices of nurses have regarding legislative patient issues.
The students did not take a collective side on the issue, but had the opportunity to witness the legislative process first-hand. As the next generation health care providers, the students are eager to learn more about the policies that affect nurses across the state. This is the fourth year that MCPHS nursing students have attended legislative hearings.
