Manchester Campus Makes Strides Against Breast Cancer
11/10/2010
On October 17, 2010, the Manchester chapter of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) participated in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk in Manchester, N.H. The group, led by team captain Kim Coleman, raised more than $3,000 for the American Cancer Society. The team included students, faculty, staff, family and friends who walked either a 3 or 5-mile course along the Merrimack River. Members of the college community also showed support by purchasing pink t-shirts, like those shown in the photos, that helped to raise money for the team. The group exceeded their fundraising goal and succeeded in raising awareness about early detection.
