First Vital Signs Clinic Held by Worcester Nursing Students
4/15/2011
The inaugural Vital Signs Clinic, hosted by faculty and Class of 2012 Nursing students, was held on March 28 in the Worcester campus’ Health Assessment Lab. More than 60 students, faculty and staff participated as “patients” to have their temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure assessed. The clinic provided an opportunity for students to increase their competencies in taking vital signs. Faculty supervision included instruction and immediate feedback. After the event, many Nursing students commented that they felt they had become much more proficient with respect to taking vital signs. The experience prepared them well for entry into the clinical setting.
