Pharmacy Alum Named President-elect of Massachusetts Society of Health Systems Pharmacists

Gary Kerr BS '81 (Hampden), PharmD '01 was recently sworn in as president-elect of the Massachusetts Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, an organization representing more than 1,400 pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in organized health-systems throughout Massachusetts.
Gary, Director of Pharmacy Services at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., began his pharmacy career in high school, working for Robert St. Marie BS '53 Hampden and Nelson St. Marie BS '51 Hampden at Feeding Hills Pharmacy in Feeding Hills and Town Pharmacy in Westfield.
Gary graduated from the non-traditional PharmD program and as an adult student found it to be a meaningful education experience. He and his wife Debra live in Somers Conn., and their son John is currently a student at MCPHS-Boston.
