First Annual Recipes For Success Raises $17K+ For Scholarship Fund
MCPHS Reunion Weekend 2007 kicked off on Thursday, May 31 with the first annual “Recipes for Success,” a fabulous food-tasting event and live auction, hosted by TV Diner’s Billy Costa. Nearly 200 people came out to White Hall to show their support for the MCPHS Alumni Scholarship Fund and sample food and drink from Boston’s finest restaurants, as well as beverages and desserts donated by Chartwells. During the live auction, guests bid on items such as a trip to Ireland, Red Sox tickets, a weekend getaway on Cape Cod, a beautiful garnet ring and a privately catered dinner for ten. The event raised more than $17,000 for the scholarship fund. “Not only did everyone have a great time in a fun, informal atmosphere, but much needed money was raised for the Alumni Scholarship Fund,” said Dennis Lyons, vice president for Institutional Advancement. “Given the phenomenal response, plans are underway for a second Recipes event next year.”
