Boston Redevelopment Authority Approves Huntington Ave. Project

The Boston Redevelopment Authority board of directors yesterday approved the College’s Huntington Avenue academic center project. The building, which will house the School of Nursing, School of Physician Assistant Studies and Office of Institutional Advancement, will be constructed on a site that is currently used by the College as a parking lot, just one block east of the Brant House. The six-story building will contain 49,700 square feet of classrooms, faculty and staff offices, teaching laboratories, a technology center, a 230 seat auditorium and a multi-function room on the top floor. An August 22 groundbreaking ceremony is planned, with construction expected to be completed in early 2009. Project updates will be posted @ www.mcphs.edu/campuses/boston/academics/richard_e_griffin_academic_center.html.
