Medicare Holds Two Events With Worcester & Manchester Campuses

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Medicare Bus made appearances on Tuesday and Wednesday this week with MCPHS students, faculty and staff as part of it’ newly launched “My Health. My Medicare.” Campaign. On Tuesday, Dr. Charlotte Yeh, Boston Regional Administrator for CMS, stopped at the Worcester campus to personally thank pharmacy students and the MassMedLine staff for their hard work in the Worcester area during the rollout of the prescription drug benefit program. Dr. Yeh also presented Mary Sullivan, Director of MassMedLine, with a commemorative plaque recognizing the campus for its community outreach efforts. On Wednesday, the bus stopped at the Elliot Senior Health Center in Manchester for a brown-bag medication review session. Dozens of seniors were on hand for the event, as Manchester pharmacy students and faculty conducted blood pressure screenings and answered questions on prescription medications.
