School of Health Sciences Holds Retreat @ Manchester Campus

The School of Health Sciences held a successful retreat at the Manchester campus on August 28. The agenda was full of business items, faculty development and breakout sessions for the Health Sciences schools. During the retreat, the new leadership structure of the deans was announced, as Scott Massey and Jim Blagg will provide Leadership for the 2007-2008 Academic Year. New deans Mary Foley (Forysth School of Dental Hygiene) and Gloria Stewart (Physician Assistant Studies-Boston) were also introduced.

In the afternoon, Dr. Alease Bruce, professor from University of Massachusetts Lowell, presented “Turning Teaching into Scholarship.” The retreat continued with breakout sessions for the Schools of Radiologic Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies, Nursing and Dental Hygiene. A reception on the renovated 3rd floor of the Manchester campus completed the day. President Charles F. Monahan Jr. and Dr. Michelle Kalis, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost, greeted the participants and thanked the faculty and staff of the School for its growth and vision.
