Call for Nominations

Last fall, President Rick Lessard announced important initiatives to enhance how we support and embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion at MCPHS. One of these initiatives is the formation of the MCPHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Team, on which we are honored to serve. Our aim is to bring together an inclusive cross-section of people from around the University to serve on faculty, staff, and student Working Groups. These Working Groups will help us develop DEI goals, objectives, and measurements and assist with managing DEI programs and activities across all three of MCPHS’s campuses.

The MCPHS DEI Team invites all members of the University community to self-nominate or nominate any student, faculty, or staff member with a deep interest and commitment to this effort and a willingness to work as an agent of change to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion at MCPHS. One of the initial areas these Working Groups will focus on is understanding historical and current roots of racism and social injustice, as well as building a culturally competent community.

We anticipate selecting between six and eight members for each Working Group to ensure that our diverse community is well represented in this work that is central to our success. Members must be able to commit to the Working Group for at least one year. The Working Groups will meet once a month and quarterly with the DEI Team as a whole.
