Undergraduate Interprofessional Education

Our Boston campus is home to a diverse mix of undergraduate and graduate students in numerous academic programs. This affords us the ability to be one of the few schools in the world to offer interprofessional education programs and events that not only span the health sciences, but also engage first-year students.

Our undergraduate-based interprofessional education experiences bring together students and faculty from different disciplines and schools to teach and learn from one another. And in the process, they broaden their own perspectives and discover new ways to address the diverse challenges in their respective fields.

Some of these events include:

  • Pharmacy Outreach Program:  A collaborative community service program with the goal of helping patients adhere to their medication regimens.
  • Schwartz Center Educational Rounds: Events, such as speaker series, hosted to educate the interprofessional MPCHS—Boston community on how to empathetically and compassionately interact with patients and deliver healthcare.
  • Interprofessional Case Conference: Events in which students, faculty members, and thought leaders from prestigious Boston-area healthcare organizations discuss a relevant healthcare topic on interdisciplinary teams.
