Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and American Rescue Plan (ARP)

The following disclosure provides some updated information regarding the University’s CRRSAA and ARP funding allocation.
- MCPHS University acknowledges that it has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education (the Department) the Certification and Agreement and we intend to use or have used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- MCPHS University received a total amount of $8,387,328 from the Department pursuant to our institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 is $60,293. Cumulative disbursements through March 31, 2022 under these programs were $8,387,328.
- The estimated total number of students potentially eligible to be considered to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants in quarter 4 was 7,753.
- As of the date of this report, there have been 9,179 unduplicated students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs. Additionally, 42 unduplicated students received Emergency Financial Aid Grants under the ARP program as of quarter ended March 31, 2022.
- In order to prioritize domestic undergraduate students with exceptional need as recommended by the Department, grant awards were tiered based on the student’s EFC and Pell-eligible students received higher grant award amounts.

Required Quarterly Budget and Expenditure Reporting for HEERF I, II, and III Institutional Portion
December 31, 2021
The following disclosure provides some updated information regarding the University’s CRRSAA and ARP funding allocation.
- MCPHS University acknowledges that it has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education (the Department) the Certification and Agreement and we intend to use or have used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- MCPHS University received a total amount of $8,387,328 from the Department pursuant to our institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 is $6,015,035. Cumulative disbursements through December 31, 2021 under these programs were $8,327,035.
- The estimated total number of students potentially eligible to be considered to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants in quarter 3 was 7,920.
- As of the date of this report, there have been 9,175 unduplicated students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs. Additionally, 7,244 unduplicated students received Emergency Financial Aid Grants under the ARP program as of quarter ended December 31, 2021.
- In order to prioritize domestic undergraduate students with exceptional need as recommended by the Department, grant awards were tiered based on the student’s EFC and Pell-eligible students received higher grant award amounts.

The following email communication went out to students in quarter 3 who received Emergency Financial Aid grants.
December 8, 2021
Dear Student,
The US Department of Education has awarded Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF III) to US colleges and universities under the American Rescue Plan (ARP).
You have been confirmed eligible to receive this emergency grant in the amount of $_____. We expect the grant to be disbursed to your student account and refunded next week.
Grants under the program are to provide emergency financial aid to students, to help defray costs related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, including food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, and childcare. While these government resources in many cases will not cover all expenses you may have incurred related to the COVID-19 campus disruption, they are intended to provide assistance during these exceptional times.

- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs for the quarter ended September 30, 2021 is $0. Cumulative disbursements through September 30, 2021 under these programs were $2,312,000.
- There have been an estimated 10,513 students at the University throughout the duration of the programs that have been eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- As of the date of this report, there have been 7,080 students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- The institution awarded Emergency Financial Aid grants to all eligible students at the time of disbursement (100% of the eligible population as of the disbursement date). In order to prioritize students with exceptional need as recommended by the Department, Pell-eligible students received higher grant award amounts.

- As of the date of this report, there have been 7,080 students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.

- MCPHS University received a total amount of $8,387,328 from the Department pursuant to our institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs as of the date of this report is $2,029,500.
- There are an estimated 7,623 students at the University that are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs.
- As of the date of this report, there have been 6,145 students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and programs.
- The institution awarded Emergency Financial Aid grants to all eligible students at the time of disbursement (100% of the eligible population as of the disbursement date). In order to prioritize students with exceptional need as recommended by the Department, Pell-eligible students received higher grant award amounts.

PELL RECIPIENTS
Dear Student:
The US Department of Education has awarded Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) to US colleges and universities under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA).*
All students enrolled at MCPHS University during the spring 2021 term, whose eligibility has been confirmed and are also receiving a Federal Pell Grant, are receiving an emergency grant disbursement in the amount of $500.
Students receiving this email have been confirmed eligible and will be receiving this $500 grant. This grant will appear on your Student Account as a HEERF Grant.
We expect grants to be disbursed to student accounts by the end of next week, followed by a refund in the same amount paid by direct deposit, or by student refund check if direct deposit information is not available. If you have not already signed up for direct deposit and/or you would like to receive this refund via check please make sure your permanent address is correct. If you would like to update your home permanent address on file, please log onto the intranet, hover over Departments and select “Registrar”. Select “Student Information Update” from the list of links on the left-hand side of the page.
Grants under the program are to provide emergency financial aid to students, to help defray costs related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, including food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, and childcare. While these government resources in many cases will not cover all expenses you may have incurred related to the COVID-19 campus disruption, they are intended to provide assistance during these exceptional times.
All students experiencing urgent financial needs or emergencies are encouraged to contact Student Financial Services, whose staff remains available to provide counseling and support.

DEGREE STUDENTS NOT RECEIVING PELL GRANTS
Dear Student:
The US Department of Education has awarded Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) to US colleges and universities under Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA).*
All students enrolled at MCPHS University during the spring 2021 term, and whose eligibility has been confirmed, are receiving an emergency grant disbursement in the amount of $300.
