Optimize independence, one task at a time.
As an occupational therapist, you’re the one that helps patients regain independence by helping them perform the everyday activities that are most meaningful to them. You may teach a patient who has suffered a stroke learn a new way to get dressed in the morning. An individual with cerebral palsy how to navigate the school hallways with new leg braces. Or teach a child with autism new strategies to increase participation in social activities in the classroom or at home. All to help them attain a better quality of life, every day.
Become a highly skilled occupational therapist.
Working with the latest technology and adaptive equipment in our state of the art laboratory spaces, you’ll learn how to build or restore patients’ abilities to perform daily life tasks. You’ll work one-on-one to assess, treat, and educate patients, families, and caregivers to optimize independence and occupational performance. You will graduate as a healthcare professional fully prepared to treat a wide variety of conditions associated with mental, physical, social, visual, and cognitive functioning with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
