Maria M. Lowe, PharmD, BCPS
Maria M. Lowe, PharmD, BCPS is the Director of Pharmaceutical Intelligence for the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER). In this role, she is responsible for tracking developments in the drug pipeline to advise the ICER team on potential topics of interest worthy of considering for comparative and cost-effectiveness evaluation. Prior to joining the ICER team, Maria worked at the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Clinical Pharmacy Services as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist responsible for the development and maintenance of a customized database for tracking pharmaceutical pipeline developments. In 2013, Maria joined the Health Data Integrity team at PatientsLikeMe, an online patient-powered research network – as a Health Data and Drug Information Specialist. A board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, Dr. Lowe received her PharmD from Northeastern University in 2008. After graduation, she completed a two-year fellowship in health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS), then continued that work for the next three years as a clinical consultant pharmacist. After joining PatientsLikeMe in 2013, she transitioned to ICER in 2019. Since 2009 she has been invited to serve as an annual guest speaker about drugs in development at a variety of local and national meetings.

Accreditation

MCPHS University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. MCPHS designates this educational activity for a total of 1 contact hours (0.1 CEUs).

Requirements for Credit

Partial credit will not be awarded. To claim credit participants must log into their profile on the MCPHS CE portal and insert the specific activity code for this webinar to access and complete the evaluation. CE credit will be automatically uploaded to the CPE Monitor upon completion of the evaluation and posted to the participant’s NABP account within 72 hours.

Attendance will be verified. Credit will not be issued to participants who join the meeting more than 15 minutes after the start of the meeting or to those who depart early. Credit cannot be awarded to individuals who complete the activity evaluation more than 60 days post activity.

Evaluation

All participants will have the opportunity to review the educational session and speakers, and to identify future educational needs.
