If you are a current high school senior or have already graduated but have not attended college, you can apply to MCPHS as a freshman. And, since applying to MCPHS as a freshman is always free, it's easy to get started. If you are undergraduate international student please see our International Applicants page.

To apply as a freshman, submit the following items.

Common Application: Add MCPHS to your list of schools you are applying to and don't forget to answer our university-specific questions in our Member Profile, which includes an additional short-answer essay.

We prioritize the review and admission of applications submitted earlier in our rolling admission process, so it is to your advantage to submit your application as soon as possible.
 
All applicants are automatically considered for scholarship with their application.  The sooner you submit your application, the more favorably you will be considered both for admission and scholarship.
 
November 1: Early Action I
December 1: Early Action II
February 1: Regular Decision

Official transcripts from all secondary schools attended should be submitted by your guidance counselor or a school official. First quarter grades from senior year should be included if available when you apply.

Applicant's transcripts should include the following:

  • Math: Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry are required however it it is recommended that applicants complete four years of math up to Precalculus or Calculus.
  • Science: Biology and Chemistry are required however it is recommended that applicants complete four years of lab science. Additional recommended courses may include Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, AP Biology or AP Chemistry.
  • English: Four years of English
  • Social Sciences: One year of history is required. A well-rounded curriculum of additional social science courses is recommended.

Transcripts may be submitted by your guidance counselor via the Common Application with the accompanying school report form. If mailing the transcript, it should be sent in a sealed envelope to:

One letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor or teacher (math or science preferred) is required. However, you may submit more than one recommendation if you would like. Recommendation letters should be written on official school letterhead and submitted through the Common Application along with their required forms or may be mailed to MCPHS in a sealed envelope directly from the school.

If mailing the recommendation, it must be sent directly from the recommender in a sealed envelope (no form required) to:

When applying through the Common Application, please submit a personal essay based on one of the topic choices provided. Please note: There is an additional short-answer essay included in our Member Profile questions that you also must submit.

MCPHS requires official test scores from either the SAT or ACT. Test scores must be sent directly from the College Board or ACT, or may be accepted from your high school if they are recorded on your official transcript.

AP scores of 4 or 5 are also accepted for potential university credit. An official AP score report should be sent directly from the College Board or included on your official transcript.

If English is not your first language, proof of language proficiency is required. Language proficiency may be submitted with a score report from the TOEFL, IELTS, or iTEP or by taking the MCPHS on-campus English Proficiency Exam (Register here to take the MCPHS on-campus English Proficiency Exam).
