MCPHS Advantage Scholarship Program Terms and Conditions

All MCPHS students who are currently enrolled, or who graduated from degree programs, in or after December 2017.

A 100% tuition scholarship for the above programs will be provided to students whose initial MCPHS degree was in a full-time degree program, and a 50% tuition scholarship for the above programs will be provided to students whose initial MCPHS degree was in a part-time degree program.

A 50% tuition scholarship for the above on-campus programs will be provided to students whose initial MCPHS degree was in a full-time or part-time degree program.

The scholarship will cover tuition as described above. MCPHS Advantage Scholarships do not cover fees, books, equipment, or any other non-tuition costs.

Students must meet the master’s program admission requirements, which can be accessed through the links below:

*While management experience in healthcare or a closely aligned field is preferred for admission to the MBA in Healthcare Management Program, MCPHS students who apply to enroll in this program during or immediately after completing their initial MCPHS degree will not be penalized for lack of management experience in a healthcare or an aligned field.

Students may apply during the regular admission cycle for the term in which the student wishes to begin enrollment. A complete MCPHS application, including all required supporting documentation, must be submitted no later than the application deadline.

As with all MCPHS programs, the programs included in the MCPHS Advantage have a limited number of spaces and admission is highly competitive. MCPHS strongly encourages students to submit a completed application early in the admission cycle because decisions are issued on a rolling basis throughout the admission cycle.

Students who have met all program requirements for one of the master’s programs included in the MCPHS Advantage and have been accepted into the program may begin the MCPHS Advantage while completing their initial MCPHS degree. If a student is enrolled in two programs that are included in the MCPHS Advantage, the scholarship will be applied to the less expensive program.

If a student takes a course that can be counted towards the degree requirements of both his or her initial MCPHS degree and his or her MCPHS Advantage degree, MCPHS Advantage Scholarship funds do not cover the cost of tuition for this course.

Students are only eligible for one MCPHS Advantage Scholarship.

A student who enrolls after having earned his or her first MCPHS degree must begin the master’s degree program within one year of his or her initial graduation from MCPHS and complete the master’s program within thirty-six months of beginning it. If a student is admitted to MCPHS Advantage but is not accepted into a particular enrollment cycle due to space constraints, the deadline for enrollment will be extended accordingly. The graduation deadline will be extended for students who take University approved leaves of absence. Students who fail to meet the graduation deadline will not be eligible to receive MCPHS Advantage scholarship funds for semesters beyond the deadline, but will not be billed for completed semesters.

To maintain eligibility for a MCPHS Advantage scholarship, satisfactory academic progression is required. If a student is enrolled in MCPHS Advantage while completing his or her initial MCPHS degree, satisfactory academic progression in both programs is required. Students who fail to maintain satisfactory academic progression will not be eligible to receive scholarship funds for future semesters, but will not be billed for courses already taken.

Online programs are available to residents of all states where MCPHS is authorized to offer distance education. Pending the admission of Massachusetts to the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (“NC-SARA”) and MCPHS University’s approval to participate in NC-SARA, MCPHS anticipates offering online programs to residents of all 50 states beginning in the fall of 2018.

International students are subject to immigration requirements.

As with all MCPHS programs, the curricular requirements for the programs included in MCPHS Advantage are subject to change.

Students with questions about the MCPHS Advantage may contact the Admission Office.
