Families and Guests

Welcome to the MCPHS community!

We know this is an exciting time in your student's life, and that helping them select a college was a monumental decision. Now that you've reached the end of the application process, you and your student can celebrate this incredible accomplishment and take an in-depth look at all that MCPHS has to offer.

As you prepare for your student to begin their first semester at MCPHS University, we have prepared for you, your very own Orientation program. This program offers information to assist our families and guests as they transition to our MCPHS University community. We have created an unique online experience designed to help students prepare for college and to assist family members and guests in understanding their student’s transition. This online experience is an opportunity for our families and guests to learn more about the resources and tools available on the university campus and help with their students’ success at MCPHS!

We believe that Orientation will serve as the first step in your journey towards becoming part of our Cardinal community. We hope you enjoy you participate in the social programs we have offered and more importantly, that you feel excited to be a part of our family-our MCPHS University family.

Our Family and Guest Orientation program will launch on Monday, July 13th. Here you will have full access to resources and hear from our campus partners as well as meet our Orientation Leaders. The online program will be offered through the MCPHS Blackboard site which is public, so you will not need any credentials to access it.

Academics

Whether your student is interested in chemistry, pharmaceutical business, or anything in-between, the courses and real-world experiences offered at our Boston campus will prepare them to begin their healthcare career with confidence. They'll dive into a supportive and engaged community totally dedicated to the health sciences and healthcare. And through lessons led by our expert faculty, hands-on learning experiences, and interprofessional education opportunities, your student will learn to meet the demands of today’s integrative healthcare field.

Additionally, your student will have access to numerous academic support resources as they acclimate to their new program. Whether it's a tutoring session or just studying with other students, there are many ways to keep up with the work. With the support of the faculty and those around them, your student will have every opportunity to earn impressive grades.

Campus Life

MCPHS will immediately make your student feel at home—our campus is vibrant, the buildings are clean and well kept, the security is always present, and our staff is ready to help as soon as your student steps on campus. We can assure you that your student will be in caring, capable hands.

And although your student might face the normal challenges of moving away for the first time, such as feeling a little homesick at the beginning and transitioning to living independently, we provide ample resources to make this transition as smooth as possible. Our housing options are expansive, allowing your student flexibility in selecting their living arrangements. Our many clubs and student organizations will provide your student the opportunity to find their campus community. And our support services are available to accomodate your student's specific needs.

The MCPHS community will do everything they can to help your student feel comfortable and at ease—which will help you, their parent, breathe a sigh of relief.

Financial Services

The value and affordability of an MCPHS education gives your student the opportunity to follow their passion and build a fulfilling career. We help the vast majority of our students secure financial aid, and when they graduate, they rank as the highest earners in New England and the second highest in the nation.

MCPHS follows a Student Financial Services model, combining the financial aid and bursar's offices into one office so that families work with one staff member on financial aid and student account questions during the student's tenure at MCPHS. This provides you with one point of service for all of your family's financial service needs, such as applying for aid or scholarships, navigating your student's student account, or seeking alternative financing options.

Regardless of your family's financial situation, we will work with you to ensure that MCPHS is a sound investment for your student's future.
