Welcome Weekend

Welcome Weekend is a series of events designed to help you kick off a successful and fun semester. During Welcome Weekend, you have the opportunity to connect with other incoming students and make new friends. Immerse yourself in exciting, off-campus activities and take advantage of opportunities to explore the city of Boston.

All events are free to incoming students, but you must register to reserve a spot. Students must make an account using their MCPHS email address.

Paint Night at MCPHS!

Tap into your creative side by painting your own masterpiece for your new home with guidance from Roscoe, our resident artist! Painting will be in the Atrium at 6 p.m. All supplies will be provided.

Fenway Walking Tour
Students will meet in the Atrium lobby at 12 p.m. to the following attractions in the Fenway area:

  • City Target Shopping: Whenever you move somewhere new, there’s always a need for a few new items! Bring your shopping list and join us on our way to Target to pick up all the essentials for the coming semester. This trip requires you to bring your own money if you wish to purchase anything.
  • Museum of Fine Arts: The Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world; the collection encompasses nearly 500,000 works of art. Welcoming more than one million visitors each year to experience art from ancient Egyptian to contemporary, special exhibitions, and innovative educational programs. Admission is free with your MCPHS Student ID, please remember to bring this ID with you.

Back Bay Walking Tour
Students will meet in the Atrium lobby at 12 p.m. to the following attractions in the Back Bay area:

  • Copley Square: In the middle of Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, Copley Square has a variety of shopping and attractions such as Newbury Street, the Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, and Boston Common to name a few! This trip requires you to bring your own money if you wish to purchase anything.
  • Prudential Center: Why not start right here in the middle of everything Boston has to offer? Here you'll find shopping and restaurants. This trip requires you to bring your own money if you wish to purchase anything.

Ice Skating at Frog Pond

Boston wouldn’t be a winter wonderland without a little bit of ice! Strap on some skates (provided) and join us on Frog Pond to make the most of a New England winter. Transportation, rentals, and admission included. Students will meet in the Atrium lobby at 12 p.m. to take the “T” to the Boston Common. This trip requires you to bring your own money if you wish to purchase food or drink at the event space.

Minute to Win It Games
Saturday, January 11, 2020
Minute to Win It games are a fun icebreaker that can bring your group closer together. You’ll be well on your way to getting to know your future classmates with these fun games. Come to have fun and win some cool prizes! This event will take place at 3 p.m. at the Atrium.
