Get to Know Worcester: College Town in the City

Now that you are a part of the MCPHS community, it’s time to get to know your new backyard: Worcester, MA.

We are proud to call the vibrant city of Worcester home. With great dining options, culture, sports, and tons of college students, Worcester is the perfect place to call home.

Here are just a few of the reasons to get excited about our home city:

An exciting college town

Worcester is home to more than 38,000 college students, which means our city is bustling and full of activity.

Fantastic dining

In the mood for some great eats? Worcester is home to a wide variety of options, ranging from fine dining to fast bites. Home to famous “Restaurant Row”, Shrewsbury Street features 1.5 miles of shopping, dining, nightlife, and salons.

Culture and history

With its industrial heritage, Worcester and the surrounding area is filled with opportunities to learn. The Worcester Historical Museum, the American Antiquarian Society, and the Worcester Art Museum are among the many museums in Worcester that offer the perfect spot for a restful (and educational!) afternoon.

Sports

Did you know that our campus is located across the street from the DCU Center? Our students enjoy easy access to all of the games and events hosted at the DCU, including Worcester Railers games. And, because we’re conveniently located less than one hour from Boston, you can head into the city to catch all of your favorite major league teams.

Looking to live on campus? We offer a variety of residential housing options, located right on our Worcester campus. That means you can take advantage of all that the city has to offer, while enjoying the convenient amenities and safety of our campus.
