Orientation Frequently Asked Questions

Must I attend Orientation?

YES! Orientation is mandatory for all incoming students as it provides essential information and introductions to faculty, enrichment tutors, and other student resources that will assist in your transition to the University and to your specific academic program.

What is the dress code?

Dress code is professional casual. No shorts, short skirts, tank style tops, jeans, t-shirts, or beachwear or open toe-shoes.

Can I bring family members to Orientation?

No, the program is designed for the new students only and is filled with a great deal of information that is needed for the first few weeks of classes.

Where do I eat during Orientation?

We provide continental breakfast, lunch, and a light afternoon snack each day.

What time does it begin and end?

Times are located on the orientation registration form for your program. Students should plan to be on campus all day until about 5:00 pm.

When do classes start?

The first day of classes for fall 2018 students is Tuesday, September 4. Students beginning in spring 2019 will start on Monday, January 7.
