In the News: Pharmacy Outreach Program In Action

  • From the classroom to our own backyards, members of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) community are passionate about using their skills and knowledge to help people live healthy lives.

On May 17, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of the Pharmacy Outreach Program Paula Evans gave a talk at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center in Concord, Massachusetts. Among her advice to senior citizens was to use one pharmacist, and to ask questions – like when to take your medications.

The MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach Program is a community service program designed to help the broader community gain the knowledge they need to manage their medications and live healthy lives. Staffed by case managers, licensed pharmacists, and students, the program offers many services, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
