Advanced Certificate in Computed Tomography

This nine-credit, part-time online program is designed for working technologists with a current certification in radiography, nuclear medicine technology, or radiation therapy.

Capture 3D Images that Aid Diagnosis and Treatment

In this part-time online program, you can continue working while you earn a specialized computed tomography (CT) credential. Upon completion of the program, you will be qualified to operate advanced CT equipment in environments such as hospital radiology departments, emergency rooms, and out-patient ambulatory centers. Our program meets the instructive and clinical requirements for both the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) computed tomography exams. If you need only the structured education or clinical experience components of the program, you can customize your study accordingly. The program starts in the fall, spring, and summer.

Your 9-Credit Journey

Our flexible, online curriculum enables you to arrange your coursework to fit your schedule. Before enrolling, you must have completed three credits of cross-sectional anatomy. To earn your advanced certificate in computed tomography, you must complete three MCPHS courses:

  • CT and Cross-Sectional Anatomy
  • CT Clinical Internship
  • CT Imaging-Board Review

  • Current ARRT/NMTCP/ARDMS certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Radiation Therapy
  • Current CPR certification
  • Cross Sectional Anatomy (3 credits)

Once you’ve selected your course of interest and are ready to register, all that’s left is to create your account and pay the tuition fees.

Your registration will be contingent upon review of your uploaded enrollment requirements. You will be asked to upload these documents during the registration process.

Students must complete the following three courses:

  • RSC 320 | CT and Cross-Sectional Anatomy (3 cr.)
  • RSC 425C | CT Clinical Internship (3 cr.)
  • RSC 315 | CT Imaging-Board Review (3 cr.)

No transfer credits will be accepted for the certificate.
