Joseph F. and Francis P. Brant Academic and Student Center

Our student center offers three floors of academic spaces, student lounges, seminar rooms, learning resource spaces, and state-of-the-art laboratories – along with sophisticated two-way videoconferencing. It includes quiet study spaces, conference rooms, and meeting areas, where students can find a quiet spot to study or connect with classmates or professors.

It's also home to the Library and Learning Center, a branch of the Henrietta DeBenedictis Library at MCPHS–Boston. The building features a computer resource area, group study spaces, and meeting rooms. In addition, students enjoy electronic access to the complete health sciences library system and interlibrary loan system with the Henrietta DeBenedictis Library at MCPHS–Boston, as well as many of New England’s leading medical and academic libraries.

Brant Building

Our Brant Building is home to classrooms, study areas, and laboratories – including the recently renovated state-of-the-art academic and clinical treatment space. It's a place where students of all disciplines can utilize community meeting spaces, quiet study areas, and conference rooms for small group study.

For those looking to relax, there are plenty of options at the Brant Hub. This 10,000 square foot Adirondack-style facility draws students, faculty, and staff together to study, socialize, or relax around the dignified stone fireplace that is the facility’s centerpiece. It includes four well-appointed group study rooms, classrooms, pediatric and adult occupational therapy labs, and a café surrounding the central gathering space, which features wood and stone accents and dramatic lodge-style exposed rafters.

It is the perfect space for group activities, socializing, and is fully equipped with comfortable couches, lockers, Micro Mart and big-screen TV.

Cutting-edge laboratory facilities

In our cutting edge laboratories, students gain hands-on experience working on the same equipment they will use in their careers.

The patient assessment laboratories allow future physician assistants and family nurse practitioners to learn in 12 standardized primary care stations that simulate clinical care settings. In the clinical simulation laboratory, our nursing students use computerized manikins to assess and intervene in various clinical simulations appropriately.

In the professional pharmacy practice laboratory, students practice compounding and experience pharmacy practice simulation, which introduces them to the roles and responsibilities of the profession.

Occupational therapy students gain hands-on experience in recently renovated facilities, which include a sensory integration pediatric laboratory and an adult rehabilitation laboratory. These labs simulate a patient’s real-life living and working environment, including a complete re-creation of a typical apartment. The laboratory also includes a hand and upper-extremity orthopedic and neurological clinic simulation.
