Activities & Events

Worcester Campus Life

At MCPHS–Worcester, you are surrounded by a diverse group of dedicated professionals who work hard to bring out the best in everyone. But, it’s not all about work – there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the community, make an impact, or just have some fun.

On our Worcester campus, you will experience:

Block parties

The best way to use the top floor of our parking garage? Block parties! Every semester, our Student Government Association hosts student organizations, vendors, performers, and more for an afternoon of food, celebration, and fun.

Discounts to attractions with your MCPHS ID

With your MCPHS ID, you can enjoy discounted access to several activities and venues in the area. You'll also get free admission to the Worcester Art Museum on the third Thursday of every month.

Formal events

From themed dances like “A Night at the Oscars” to program-specific events like the School of Optometry “Eye Ball,” there are plenty of opportunities to glam up and let your hair down.

Holiday celebrations

Join us at our annual 4th of July celebration, where we play corn hole and watch the fireworks display over the DCU Center.

Public health & community engagement activities

MCPHS takes pride in providing essential public health information to the broader community. Our students, faculty, and staff volunteer at local institutions, including senior centers, homeless shelters, and public schools.

Professional organizations activities

Our students understand the importance of professional development. We offer a variety of professional organizations and chapters on our Worcester campus so that students of all programs have professional and educational resources at their fingertips. Among the opportunities available are general meetings, special guest speakers, trips to industry conferences, and more. For example, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) routinely hosts student panels designed to give first-year students advice and insight into the program.

Relaxation days

Exam weeks can be stressful, which is why our Office of Campus Life hosts midterm and finals week relaxation programming, including complimentary refreshments, games, therapy puppies, and chair massages.

Residence life activities

Residence life is vibrant on our Worcester campus. Our Residential Life team hosts plenty of activities including a spring fling, complete with a photo booth, dinner, games, and more.

Volunteer opportunities

Student organizations on campus regularly volunteer at blood drives and road races, hold book and food drives, and raise funds for medical research through events and fairs. The MCPHS–Worcester Community Engagement Committee brings students, faculty, and staff together for local service projects, including the United Way Day of Caring when members of the MCPHS Community clean up, harvest, and plant in local community gardens.

Weekday activities

There is always something happening on campus, from ice cream socials to themed brunches and flu clinics to voter registration drives.

Welcome Week

Each fall, we celebrate the beginning of a new academic year with activities like bingo brunch, walking tours of Worcester, and shopping excursions.
