Bachelor of Science in Health Psychology

Upon successful completion of the BS in Health Psychology program, students will be able to:

  • Apply concepts and theories from psychology to solve real-world problems.
  • Apply the biopsychosocial model to health and non-health contexts.
  • Locate and critically evaluate relevant sources to make evidence-based decisions.
  • Communicate psychology concepts and research findings to a variety of audiences (age, gender, culture, education level, expertise).
  • Apply effective team processes to engage in productive interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Describe the breadth and applications of psychology in terms of topics and career options.
  • Demonstrate effective use of word processing, data processing, presentation, source management, collaboration, and project management software.
  • Identify careers of best fit based on individual work values, interests, and skills.
