As a radiologic technologist, you're responsible for capturing the clear images that show physicians what’s going on inside patients’ bodies. On a given day, you could be in the OR taking x-rays during surgery, dealing with real-life emergencies in the ER, or working in a diagnostic room to help doctors diagnose everything from broken bones to cancerous tumors. All while making patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Why choose Radiography at MCPHS?

  • Unbeatable Location: The MCPHS Boston campus is located in the heart of the Longwood Medical Area, putting students steps away from some of the best hospitals and medical research institutions in the world.
  • Clinical Experiences: Hands-on opportunities at some of the most prestigious medical facilities in the world, like Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Tuft’s Medical Center, provide a range of diverse and enriching learning experiences.
  • Advanced Facilities: Our radiography laboratory features digital imaging equipment comparable to modern healthcare facilities for true-to-life experiences. You'll simulate exams on a body phantom using a General Electric Proteus XR, a radiographic unit integrated with a Fuji SmartCR reader for distributed digital imaging applications.
  • Value and Earning Power: The median annual wage for radiologic technologists was $73,410 in May 2023, with the highest 10% earning more than $102,380.*
  • Increasing Demand: The demand for radiologic technologists is expected to grow 6% by 2033, a faster rate than many other occupations.*
