This spring, alumni are sharing their "Why I Give" stories to highlight the impact of giving at MCPHS and to encourage others to join in. 

For Nancy Hurwitz, DSPAS ’19, her annual donation is a way to honor those who shaped her journey. Inspired by friends she has lost, Nancy gives to memorial scholarships that carry forward their compassion and commitment to care—and help future students succeed. 

Ernie Gates Jr., BSP '67, gives back as a thank you for the education that launched his career: “Graduating from MCPHS is a prestigious achievement and a powerful foundation for professional success. It is something we should all take pride in—and support for generations to come."

Bing Yang, DAIH '20, gives to express her gratitude for the community she found at New England School of Acupuncture—first as a student, and then as a faculty member helping educate the next generation. “I give in sincere appreciation of the support the school has provided to me, and I hope that my contribution will support others," she says. 

And Lisa LaSpina, DHS ’19, BSDH ’09, wants to help students as they prepare to serve future patients and their communities: “It's wonderful to see students love what they do while also serving their neighbors.”
