Sanofi Genzyme Biopharmaceutical Fellowships

These two-year Post-PharmD Industry Fellowships are intended to provide a comprehensive experience for Doctor of Pharmacy graduates within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently, sixteen fellowship positions across thirteen programs are offered:

  • Regulatory Medical Writing
  • Global Scientific Communications: Multiple Sclerosis
  • Regulatory Affairs
  • Global Medical Affairs: Rare Diseases
  • Global Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications: Oncology
  • Global Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications: Immunology
  • Medical Affairs: Multiple Sclerosis
  • U.S. Medical Payer Access: Multiple Sclerosis, Oncology, Immunology (Field Medical)
  • U.S. Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison: Multiple Sclerosis (Field Medical)
  • Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison: Rare Diseases
  • Global Commercial Strategy: Rare Diseases
  • Global Oncology: Commercial and Marketing Strategy

The fellowship will provide a competitive stipend and benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance. In addition, the fellowship will offer an allowance for travel to conferences in pharmacy and other specialty areas. The fellow may qualify for student loan deferment, allowing for the postponement of loan payments until the completion of the fellowship program. The lender of the student loan(s) will be able to provide specific information regarding eligibility and terms of deferment.

Certificate of Completion

MCPHS University and Sanofi Genzyme will award a certificate of achievement upon successful completion of the fellowship program.


  • The Sanofi Genzyme fellows will be selected on a nationally competitive basis, with interviews at the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear meeting.
  • Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy at the commencement of the program.
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong interest in pursuing a career within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • All candidates must have authorization to work in the United States throughout the duration of the two‑year fellowship. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

Application Procedure

Participation in the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacist (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting Personnel Placement Service (PPS) is strongly encouraged. Candidates are encouraged to request a preliminary interview at the ASHP midyear meeting through the PPS website.
