MCPHS Makes U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges Ranking

University ranks among top regional universities in the North.
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is among the nation’s best, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The news magazine, known for its yearly college rankings, recently published its 42nd annual Best Colleges report. For the first time, MCPHS has been ranked for its undergraduate programs, landing at No. 39 among 164 public and private institutions in the North.
The 2026 rankings evaluate more than 1,500 colleges and universities across the country based on a range of measures related to academic quality and graduate success.
MCPHS also came in at No. 27 among Top Private Schools and No. 75 for Social Mobility.
The U.S. News rankings add to a series of recent national recognitions for MCPHS.
TIME recently named MCPHS among America’s Best Colleges in its inaugural rankings, which considered student outcomes relative to the cost of an education. Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce ranked MCPHS No. 5 in the country for return on investment, while Niche ranked the University No. 2 among the safest college campuses in Massachusetts for 2026.
Forbes awarded MCPHS an A+ financial grade and a 4.5 GPA in its annual college financial rankings.
