This graduate certificate teaches students how to effectively implement data analytics strategies and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across healthcare settings. Explore many facets of health data, including informatics, database design and management, continuous learning, and quality improvement. You will use this knowledge to support decisions that lead to improved patient care, reduced costs, and informed policymaking for populations around the world.

Your 12-Credit Journey

This online certificate is divided into two phases to first teach the fundamentals of analytics and artificial intelligence and then apply that knowledge to real-world healthcare challenges. You can expect to achieve the following learning outcomes:

  • Utilize complex databases and query languages in healthcare enterprises
  • Analyze healthcare data sets and answer clinical questions using machine learning algorithms
  • Apply artificial intelligence tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency
  • Examine evidence-based practices in real healthcare scenarios
  • Effectively employ data analytics and artificial intelligence to identify health trends and interventions to improve health outcomes at a population level
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or concurrent enrollment in a PharmD or other first-professional degree program at MCPHS.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
