Students considering professional careers will learn the essential components of Exercise Physiology (EP). BIO 345E explores the theory, application, and demonstration of the principles of Exercise Physiology. The course will discuss the adaptability of physiologic function and the biological responses to various forms of exercise from the cellular level to high-level athletes. Physiological responses of the systems will be discussed from rest to an exercise condition. This self-paced course will prepare you to pursue degrees in occupational therapy and physical therapy.
Prerequisites: Biology II (BIO 152) or Anatomy & Physiology II (BIO 210) or equivalent

Course Format
Exercise Physiology (BIO 345E) is an online, asynchronous, self-paced course. This course does not have specific meeting times or deadlines. You will complete your assignments on your own schedule over the course of 16 weeks using Blackboard, an online learning platform. You will also have the support of an instructor, as well as 24/7 online tutoring as you progress through the coursework. After completing this course, you will receive a final letter grade and be able to request an official transcript from our Registrar’s Office.
